An Update from REACT Services
It has been many moons and thousands of airplane miles since our last ministry update. The breadth and impact of REACT Services has been increasing . . . almost beyond our capabilities to keep up! The truth is, we would not be able to do any of this work without you, our prayer and financial supporters.
Please take a couple of moments to read through just a few highlights from the past several months. Obviously, words in an email do not suffice to truly communicate the amazing privilege it is to meet with and influence ministry leaders around the world! Thank you for making such a powerful impact on the work, seeing partnering and collaboration take hold among so many incredible people worldwide!
Blessings,
Brian O'Connell
President

Refugee Highway Partnership
World Refugee Sunday and Middle East Network
The Refugee Highway Partnership (RHP) seeks to coordinate global outreach efforts to the more than 50 million refugees and displaced peoples around the world. Through this year's World Refugee Sunday, held June 21st and 28th, significant prayer was mobilized through thousands of churches in over 50 countries.
This year has also seen increased efforts in the Middle East, where the largest percentage of refugees are located. The opportunity? Bring a wholistic response to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of these people on the move. REACT's Brian O'Connell serves as the chairman of RHP's Global Leadership Team and spent time in Lebanon this past June facilitaing discussions among ministries about cooperative response.

Global Children's Forum
2009 GCF Event
The heart of Jesus is with children. There have never been more children in the world. Over recent decades they have been born at a rate faster than in all of history. We have a lot of great ministries serving children, we have many models of great ministry. Regardless, 1 billion children have never heard of Jesus. Most of the world's 2 billion children have little opportunity to follow him and be discipled. And yet, well over 75% of people who make the decision to follow Christ do so before the age of 18.
The GCF is a coalition of international ministries dedicated to work together to reach children. They held their annual strategy conference this past May where 80 key leaders from 20 countries participated. REACT serves the GCF giving guidance on facilitation and partnering. We believe this initiative may literally change the lives of thousands of children worldwide this next year.

Ethne Unreached Peoples
Planning and Global Gathering
"Ethne" is the Greek word Jesus used to refer to "nations." It means tribe, tongue or people group. The E thne Unreached Peoples Network exists to mobilize more resources toward the large percentage of the world that still has little or no access to the Gospel. In order that "every tribe, tongue and nation" may hear...
REACT Services continues to facilitate growth among Ethne leaders, and was most recently involved in significant leader-to-leader conversations, dreams and plans. The next Ethne global strategy consultation will take place November 1-4, 2009 in Bogata, Colombia. Approximately 400 key practitioners and leaders from virtually every continent will gather to plan outreach strategies for the least reached peoples. Please pray for this! More about the event can be found at: www.ethne.net

| Sri Lanka
The Intersection of our Work Among Refugees and Religious Liberty
The Religious Liberty Partnership (RLP) is a collaboration of Christian organizations from over a dozen countries seeking to serve the persecuted church. REACT Services facilitates the RLP serving as the communication hub and organizing its activities.
This past April at their annual conference, the RLP released a major document on the crisis in Sri Lanka called the Toronto Statement. As a result of the civil war, hundreds of thousands of people have been forced into unsafe refugee camps and make-shift hospitals, with minimal access to the outside. Catalyzed by the Toronto Statement, the World Evangelical Alliance convened a delegation trip to visit with governmental leaders, opposition leaders, and to encourage the church in Sri Lanka.
REACT Services Board member Kurt Campbell was a part of this delegation, bringing dignitaries from nearly 10 countries. Kurt also serves as a Board member of World Concern, one of the key agencies working among the displaced there. "I was deeply moved by the commitment of the Sri Lanka Church to try and respond to the needs of these displaced and wounded people," said Kurt. "They need our prayers and our financial support to make it work."

Prayer Needs
1. As you might imagine, extensive travel is both exciting and exhausting. Please pray for Brian as he literally hops from continent to continent helping ministry leaders build capacity and increase impact for the Kingdom.
2. Partnering only works when it is based on trust and humility. Pray that each of the networks that we work with will be filled with people seeking to be humble and open- handed with their God-given resources.
3. The REACT team is growing! Please welcome and pray for our new Special Projects Coordinator, Chris Bruno, as he dives into the work of REACT in a variety of ways.

Donate
We don't measure our success by how big WE are. We measure our success by how many Kingdom resources we can LEVERAGE. The work that we do allows us to leverage well over $3 million towards advancing the Gospel worldwide. Yet our own budget remains at a mere 5% of that. Would you consider giving a financial gift -- one that will leverage far greater impact for the Kingdom through our ministry?
